Vinayakji, i cannot say about her relations with Jaikishan, as is known, they were cordial...but it is true that Lata and Shankar were two poles apart. Reg TERA JANA.... there was a very difficult alap' koi dekheeeeee......' SJ worked hard on this and she had to repeat it 3-4 times in the song for which she had to had a good rehearsal and final recording. This too was a superb song of 1959...It is also an irony that there was no singer than Latabai with whom SJ could go with full confidence....otherwise they had to suffer and no producer cud go without Lata...He wanted his money back from the films he invested in. Next her remark in total recall.....what they say each time is contradictory...and public listens??

Oh God ! What a wonderful voice he had. SO many beautiful songs of different colours and that too for so differnt actors like Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand, Dharmendra, Joy Mukherjee (very few of today's generation might have heard about him), Vishwjeet, Manoj Kumar and so on. You choose an emotion, and great legend Mahammad Rafi has depicted it wonderfully. I simply mad about his rendition. Man tadapt hari darshanko aaj, Chahe Koi Muze Jangali Kahe, Aaj Ki Raat Mere, Patthar ke sanam, Aji Aisa Mouka Phir Kaha Milega, Akele Akele Kaha Ja Raho Hi and so on. Neumorous melodies are redendered by him.....it is really a treasure...magic of voice made mobile companies crazy to put his songs as mobile tunes....Li pyarne angadaiee diwana hua badal....so many hits........I do not think there could be such a great non-classicla singer in next thousand of years....Long Live Rafi Sahaab...
